The EFR Instructor program will help you refine your skills as an EFR responder while focusing on developing your teaching abilities to effectively teach these life-saving skills to others. The EFR Instructor course provides the training required to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), and Care for Children programs.
Becoming an EFR Instructor is based on a combination of educational methods, including independent multimedia learning, instructor-led presentations, and practical teaching sessions designed to develop your ability to teach emergency response skills with confidence.
During this training program, participants must achieve specific learning objectives and skill requirements for the EFR courses while developing the knowledge and abilities needed to organize and conduct an EFR program. You will learn the requirements for practical skill sessions, understand the role of the instructor in the learning environment, motivate students, evaluate their knowledge and performance, present EFR course content effectively, and organize realistic practice exercises and scenarios that allow students to develop their responder skills.
To participate in the EFR Instructor program, candidates must be at least 18 years old and have completed EFR responder training in Primary Care and Secondary Care for adults, children, and infants within the last 24 months. Medical and emergency care professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and first responders, may also participate with appropriate qualifications.
